Mobile SPO (shore power outlet) with the igus® e-chain® reel

Until now, shore power connections were permanently installed sockets embedded in the quay. The "e-chain reel system" is a mobile shore power outlet (SPO). This gives harbours the flexibility they need.
System:
Motorised e-chain reel with coiled igus® special chain
Special chain with roller inserts and connected mobile SPO
Mobile SPO can be moved with existing harbour equipment or winch system
Cables are protected and do not lie freely on the terminal
The system is fully integrated into the safety procedure and thus prevents the cable from being taut
Portable system
Can be connected to any stationary SPO
With lifting tool for handling the heavy cable
extension length of 50-60 m
Permanently installed system
Install mobile SPOs directly instead of stationary SPOs
Also possible in very restricted installation spaces
Extension length of 75-100 m

Different types of ships can be connected at any time
Expensive medium-voltage cables are protected from abrasion, cuts and other impacts
Easy handling and increased work safety: The mobile SPO is driven to the connection point, heavy cables do not have to be laboriously moved to the stationary SPO on the quay
