This start-up from Austria has set itself the task of providing sustainable cultivation of food in a decentralised manner around the world. To make this possible, a high degree of self-sufficiency and automation is required. Low Cost Automation makes a significant contribution to the success of the project. Cost-effective robotic components are an important building block in terms of the profitability of forward-looking projects.

The problem

Cost-effective robotic components with important specifications such as insensitivity to dirt and corrosion resistance are sought so that they can be used in an environment such as decentralised agriculture in the long term.

 

The solution

A robolink RL-DP-5 on a flat linear robot. The unit is mounted overhead on the ceiling and can therefore optimally reach all plant trays in the room. The whole thing is supplemented by an individual gripper system in order to be able to grip and reposition the plants.
